GILSAN manufacturing is a free zone company that specializes in the production of household products such as antiseptics, liquid detergents and bleach. The company started in the year 2006, on a small scale by a family of seven (7) at Mamprobi, when the mother of the house, Mrs. Esther Agyekum took an initiative in the making of liquid soap to support the family. Her husband, Mr. Emmanuel Agyekum and son Mr. Alfred George Agyekum assisted her.
With time, production increased and the business was relocated to Sunny Coast (SCC) - Accra in 2010. In the same year, Ivy’s Brown antiseptic was introduced leading to a massive expansion of the business, hence the need to register the business. Here, Abigail Agyekum, Sandra Darkwaa Agyekum and Bernard Agyekum joined the business. The business name was coined from ABIGAIL and SANDRA;

giving us the Company’s name, GILSAN.
In 2011 and 2012, Ivy’s lemon and Cuzy’s antiseptic were introduced respectively. This growth compelled GILSAN to relocate to Old Barrier, off Mallam Kasoa road, Ash Bread Street, a suburb of Accra in 2013. Expansion of the business brought in people who played key roles in decision-making and later became part of the board of directors (BOD) of the company.
